SUMMARY:Therapist Volunteer Trip December 2025
DESCRIPTION:These trips are designed to give health practitioners the opportunity to provide physical therapy services to disadvantaged communities around Cambodia. We have partnered with other NGO’s to provide therapists a completely curated experience that allows them to provide treatments and share their knowledge working with local community groups\, all in a safe supervised environment. \nFrom where we stay\, to what we do\, to where we eat\, each has been carefully selected (where possible) to contribute to social enterprises or NGO’s that are working on programs that help benefit the wider community. \nThese programs include visits to rural communities with little access to health services\, organized health treatment camps & general sightseeing. \n* Each trip has limited capacity so book in early to avoid missing out \n\n\nSample Itinerary \n\n\n\n\n\nDate\n\n\nItinerary\n\n\n\n\nArrival\n\n\n13/12/25\n\n\nProgram begins in Phnom Penh. Check-in to accommodation & dinner.\n\n\n\n\nDay 1 – Sunday\n\n\n14/12/25\n\n\nWe begin the day with a tour of S21 Toul Sleng\, commonly referred to as the Genocide museum\, and Choueng Ek (Killing Fields) to learn about the history of the country.\n\nThis is followed by a water blessing at local Pagoda\n\nThen dinner at Friends Restaurant connected to NGO Mith Samlanh a non-religious\, non-political organization working with marginalized children/youth\, their families and their communities in Phnom Penh and Kampong Cham.\n\n\n\n\n\nDay 2 – Monday\n\n\n15/12/25\n\n\nTravel & set up rural treatment camp with local NGO One2One which provides free dental and medical care for children and adults in prisons\, orphanages and deprived communities. \n\n\n\n\nDay 3 – Tuesday\n\n\n16/12/25\n\n\nRural treatment camp\n\n\n\n\nDay 4 – Wednesday\n\n\n17/12/25\n\n\nRural treatment camp\n\n\n\n\nDay 5 – Thursday\n\n\n18/12/25\n\n\nRural treatment camp\n\n\n\n\nDay 6 – Friday\n\n\n19/12/25\n\n\nRural treatment camp then travel to Siem Reap\n\n\n\n\nDay 7 – Saturday\n\n\n20/12/25\n\n\nEarly wake up for the majestic sight of sunrise at Angkor Wat and tour of the sprawling temple complex.\nLunch at HAVEN a social enterprise and a training restaurant for vulnerable young adults from shelters\, as well as underprivileged young adults from very poor rural areas.Visit Apopo\, a demining program using HeroRATS (highly trained rats) to detect and disarm landmines & other unexploded ordinances around Cambodia.Visit to famous Siem Reap Phare Circus. The circus performers are graduates from “Phare Ponleu Selpak (PPSA) or “The Brightness of the Arts” a non-profit Cambodian association improving the lives of children\, young adults\, and their families with educational programs\, art schools\, and social support.\n\n\n\n\nDay 8 – Sunday\n\n\n21/12/25\n\n\nDebrief at Sala Bai. Every year\, Sala Baï Hotel and Restaurant School trains 150 students in hospitality at no charge to them. This program is exclusively devoted to helping underprivileged young Cambodians\, with priority given to girls (70%) who are more vulnerable and who have less access to education.Return to Phnom Penh\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur programs costs cover domestic transport\, food\, accommodation\, administration\, all tourist activities\, & towards providing ongoing access to health services to disadvantaged groups in Phnom Penh.
